Summer 2022: 4 Intensive Programs

Now Open for Registration

Trinity Iconography Institute offers week long intensive programs for beginning, intermediate and advanced iconography students every August. This full immersion program offers students the opportunity to learn the entire process, from preparing the board, to gilding, to transferring and painting the image. During this process, we emphasize prayer, humility and the spiritual and aesthetic foundation of iconography. Class begins at 9:00 am and ends at 4:30 pm, daily. *Space is limited to 8 students in the summer programs, to allow for more focused attention in these intensive courses.

Wondering Which Class to Take?

Students who have never completed a class at Trinity Iconography Institute should enroll in the Beginning Iconography, Level I program to learn the traditional, multi-layer development of Sankir and modeling we teach, before moving on to acquire the next required set of skills.

Beginning Iconography Level II is for students who have completed Beginning I and offers additional fundamentals to prepare the student for the Intermediate program.

Obtaining a thorough understanding of each skill set is fundamental in becoming an iconographer and producing a satisfying icon.

Intermediate Iconography is for students who have completed at least two egg tempera icons with Trinity Iconography Institute.
